Artist’s History and Current Work

We’re interested in learning about both you and your art. Here are some questions that will help you tell us about yourself. You don’t need to treat these as “an assignment,” but rather as a guideline for the kind of information we would like to learn about you.

 

·         The Art

o        Can you provide digital images,

o        vita/resume/bio, and

o        other documentation?

o        Do you have a web site, and if so, what is the address?

 

·        Training & Education

 

·         Where did you attend school and/or train? This could include schooling, any mentors they have, any additional experiences or inspiration.

 

·        Previous experience

 

·         Where have you shown? What galleries have you worked with? Include Denver and out of town galleries, and include show dates. Also include exhibitions, festivals, etc.

·         What percentage of your shows have sold, and for what price range? Do you have documentation of sales?

·         Is art your full time job? Please also tell us your overall goals for your art career.

·         What would gallery directors say about you as an artist, and as a business “partner”?

·         What articles and publications have featured your work?

·         Explain your media and some of your techniques.

·         Is performance art included with your work? If so, what artwork is positioned and priced to sell to our customers?

·         What is the average size (or sizes) of your work? Where do your buyers tend to place your art in their lives?
